Order
Ordering at fechtner-modellbau.de is very easy: After you have put the desired items in your shopping cart, you can place your order using the "Checkout" button. We recommend setting up a customer account for this. As a new customer, you can easily set this up during the ordering process and you will then be automatically logged in. If you already have a customer account, you can simply log in with your user data (email address and password). You will then be guided through the ordering process and can complete your order. We also offer orders without registering a customer account. To do this, do not select the "Create customer account" checkbox and follow the ordering process.
It is generally possible to place an order through our customer service. However, we recommend (if possible) placing the order through our online shop.

To view your previous orders, log in to www.fechtner-modellbau.de with your email address and password. In the menu item "My Orders" you will find an overview in which all your previous orders are listed.
Cancellations are possible at fechtner-modellbau.de as long as your order has not yet been delivered. Please contact us using our contact form.
In general, you can request a change. We work with automated processes. We ask for your understanding that a subsequent change of the delivery address at fechtner-modellbau.de is not always possible. Orders are processed immediately and therefore unfortunately we are unable to guarantee a change. If the specified delivery address cannot be found or your shipment cannot be delivered, the shipment will be returned to us. As soon as the shipment has been returned to us and checked, the credit will be made via the method you specified as the payment method.
Yes, we ship worldwide.
Don't worry, there's a chance that you'll be able to order the item you want at a later date. To do this, you can enter your email address in the field provided on the product page and click on the "Notify me" button. As soon as your desired item is available again, you'll receive an email and can order it straight away.
After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation by email, which will contain the items you have selected, your billing and delivery address, and the payment method you have chosen. As soon as the order has been paid in full, we will process your order as quickly as possible.
If you would like to check whether your order has been placed correctly, you can see this in the order confirmation we sent you by email. If you have set up a customer account, log in to www.fechtner-modellbau.de with your email address and password and access your orders via the "Customer Account" section under "My Orders". Payment
You can choose between the following payment methods: Prepayment, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card (American Express, Visa or Mastercard), PayPal, Sofort Überweisung, Bancontact, giropay, iDEAL, SEPA direct debit, easyCredit installment purchase, cash on collection
If you have selected Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card (American Express, Visa or Mastercard), PayPal, Bancontact, giropay, iDEAL, advance payment or easyCredit installment purchase as payment methods, the order will only be completed with a successful payment transaction. Therefore, the payment confirmation for these payment methods appears directly in the browser window. If you have selected Sofort Überweisung or advance payment as your payment method, the order will only be completed with a successful payment transaction. If you have selected SEPA direct debit as your payment method, we will deduct the outstanding amount from your account after your order has been dispatched.
The invoice/delivery note is enclosed with your package.
Yes, that is possible. Please enter the relevant billing address in your customer account. Please note, however, that we are a hobby shop for end customers. If payment is only possible by invoice, please order by email on an official business letter from the company/institution.
Of course, value added tax (VAT) will be shown separately on each invoice.
Installment payments are possible using the easyCredit installment purchase payment method.
This payment method is available in Germany for orders between €200 and €10.000. In addition, the billing and delivery addresses must be identical or the goods must be picked up from our store.

Vouchers
If you have a voucher, you can enter the voucher code directly in the shopping cart in the "Voucher code" field. The invoice amount for your order will then be immediately reduced in the browser window by the value of your voucher. It can of course be redeemed at a trade fair, by email or telephone, or in our store.
In principle, vouchers cannot be booked retrospectively.

If all items are available, your order will be with you within 2-4 working days within Germany. This varies abroad. Individual items that are made for you are excluded from the above regulation.
We deliver worldwide, except to countries that are subject to international sanctions and where free trade in goods is significantly restricted.
We ship our items with our shipping partner DHL and Deutsche Post. Please note: abroad, delivery may be carried out by a partner company.
Like the goods shipment, goods mail is intended for the shipping of small-format goods and is only available to frequent commercial senders. The goods mail shipment may be a maximum of 5cm thick, weigh 1kg and has a maximum size of 35,3 x 25cm (slightly different abroad). The goods mail is distributed with the letter shipments and therefore offers a little less flexibility than the DHL parcel and has less tracking information. If you absolutely want a DHL parcel, the "DHL parcel guaranteed" shipping method is available for an additional charge (within Germany).
The correct calculation of shipping costs is a major challenge for every online shop operator. In particular, rapidly rising energy costs are forcing shipping providers to raise prices considerably. At the same time, prices for cardboard boxes, for example, are rising considerably. We always try to offer you fair and as inexpensive shipping costs as possible. We also set standards, for example, when shipping brass profiles. These are delivered on a wooden strip to prevent possible damage. Articles that require this special treatment are sent as long packages. From now on, the smallest packages, which can be sent in an envelope with a cardboard back, will again be sent with a discounted letter postage.
Yes, the shipment can also be delivered to a DHL Packstation. However, please ensure that the additional address field is filled in and all relevant information appears in the address.
You are welcome to have your order delivered to a private or business address that is different from your billing address, e.g. to your workplace.
To check the delivery status of your order, check the shipping confirmation you received by email. For every package that is sent to you, you will receive a shipping confirmation including a link to track the shipment.
We are happy to commission an investigation. Through the flat-rate storage contract, the liability for correct delivery by DHL is transferred to you.

Return and refund
If you cancel or are not satisfied, you will receive a link to our returns portal. Please enter your address there. You will then receive a label. To return the items, please put the items to be returned in the package and stick the return label with the address on the package. Then all you have to do is drop off the package at the nearest DHL branch or Packstation. The amount of the returned goods will be refunded to you via the payment method you used after the returned items have been checked.
If an item we have delivered is not OK in any way, you can of course return the item to us free of charge using the return slip and stating the reason for the complaint. If you would like an exchange, please send us a message directly using our contact form.
If an item delivered by us is damaged, faulty or not OK in any way, you can complain about the item. To do so, send us a photo of the damaged item using our contact form, which clearly shows the defect.

It depends on whether you already have the kit or individual parts. If you order the painting service with the corresponding kit, we will take the parts to be painted and you will receive your complete order once the painting is complete. If you already have the kit - no problem! We will send you a return label. The painting is always discussed in advance directly with our employee Markus Simon.
