The S-series of Scanias is growing. Tamiya brings a heavy-duty tractor machine. The top model in the S-series from Swedish manufacturer Scania – the SCANIA 770S 8x4/4. Scania is now the only manufacturer still offering a V8 engine, defying the trend toward downsizing and alternative drive systems. The most powerful series-production truck generates 3.700 Newton meters and 770 hp from its 16-liter V8 engine, bringing a smile to the face of every professional driver and truck enthusiast. But it's not just the inner qualities that count. The new 770 S comes with an aggressive front end, and the Scania's interior also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of equipment and space. The new 770S 8x4/4 tractor unit expands the Scania vehicle series and is the logical step after the 770S and the R620. The Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4151 8x4 is a real heavyweight on the construction site. TAMIYA has modified the proven chassis for this truck: Like the original, the truck has 4 axles. The two rear axles are driven by a powerful 540 electric motor. The two front axles are steered via a servo (sold separately). The steering angle of the two axles is different, resulting in authentic driving characteristics. The frame has a subframe to accommodate the newly designed tipper body. The tipper body has been reinforced with a metal subframe and can be controlled via the optional TAMIYA ACU-01 unit (56545). The distinctive design of the new Arocs is as exceptional as the truck itself. The look, specifically developed for construction vehicles, features a radiator grille with a so-called "excavator tooth" design, conveying the message: "Bite through and get to work."
