The THOR2 / xxx is a current measurement control. It measures a 0,1 Ohm measuring resistance to flow while the engine is running.
If the current is higher than the software-set maximum current, the software turns off the engine. The motor can then in this direction of rotation no longer be started until a breakaway algorithm was run in the opposite direction of rotation.
This algorithm is triggered by normal starting of the engine in the other direction of rotation and runs mostly unnoticed by the operator from.
The current limit for this shutdown and reversal algorithm corresponds to a software-internal number.
This number must be chosen depending on the motor used and the operating voltage. The higher this number, the later carried out the blocking detection.
The THOR2 regulates the engine speed continuously forwards and backwards.
