Dilution for TAM acrylic and Lexan colors X-20A 250ml.

TAMIYA X-20A Acrylic Thinner is the perfect choice for thinning TAMIYA acrylic paints. The formula is chosen so that the TAMIYA acrylic paints do not fade or become stained after the paint has been applied and dried. Furthermore, the thinner is also ideal for cleaning airbrush sprayers (paint cups, needles and nozzles) and brushes (for natural hair brushes, use the Brush Conditioner (300087181) after cleaning).
When processing with airbrush sprayers (depending on the nozzle used, 0,25 - 0,50mm), a mixing ratio of 1:2 - 1:3 (1 part paint: 2 or 3 parts thinner) is ideal.

TAMIYA X and XF acrylic paints are made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are ideal for brush painting or application with airbrush sprayers.
These colors can be used on styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood and all common model plastics. For better adhesion, we recommend priming the respective material beforehand (TAMIYA primer e.g. 300087044 primer white). The paint covers well, flows smoothly and blends easily. Before curing, the paint can be washed away with normal water.

Colors marked X have a glossy finish, while colors marked XF are matte.

For processing with airbrush sprayers (0,25 - 0,50mm depending on the nozzle used), the X/XF colors should be diluted with TAMIYA X-20A acrylic thinner (300081020, 300081030 or 300081040).

The X/XF colors can also be diluted with the TAMIYA Lacquer Thinner (300087077). This allows for a faster drying result and a harder surface finish.

By adding the TAMIYA Paint Retarder (300087114) you will get a smoother paint surface after drying (max. mixing ratio 1:10).
