The TAMIYA truck for tough construction site use!
The Mercedes Benz Acros 4151 8x4 is a real heavyweight on the construction site. TAMIYA has modified the proven chassis for this truck:
As in the original, the truck has 4 axles. The two rear axles are driven by a powerful 540 electric motor. The two front axles are linked via a servo (sold separately). The steering angle of the two axles is different so that driving behavior that is true to the original is achieved.
The frame has a subframe to accommodate the newly designed dump body. The trough has been reinforced with a metal subframe and can be controlled via the optional TAMIYA ACU-01 unit (56545).

The unmistakable design of the new Arocs is as extraordinary as the truck as a whole. In the look, which was specially developed for construction vehicles, a radiator grille in the so-called excavator tooth optics was installed, which should convey the message: "Bite through and grab". To match the robust appearance, special protective grilles for the lighting system are attached to the bumper.

Technical specifications

With the 667 mm long and around 4 kg heavy kit model, impressive combinations can be put together. The proven and robust TAMIYA truck technology can be found under the forward tilting cab. A new Mighty-Tuned 35T electric motor transfers its power to the two rear axles via a switchable 3-speed gearbox. A detailed aluminum ladder frame gives the model the necessary stability and flexibility.

A hitch (e.g. Carson 500907182) can be attached to the rear part of the frame and use it to pull trailers.

With the optionally available multifunction unit almost all sound and light functions of the prototype can be simulated deceptively real.
